I'm taking the day off work on Friday so I can have a long birthday weekend, and I'm having a really hard time deciding what to do with the day. This is keeping me up nights. So, I decided to put it to the Internet for a vote. Here are my options, won't you please help me decide?
a) manicure and pedicure
b) massage at Elizabeth Arden
c) shoe shopping
d) trying on my new bling with all my different tops and admiring it under different lighting conditions
e) all of the above
So, what do you think?

I say e) all of the above - with pictures!

E, E, E, E, E.
Posted by JuJuBee | November 10, 2004 8:51 AM
Not only do I buy bling, I fully support E.
Posted by Chris | November 10, 2004 9:03 AM
I'd go for an all day A and B combo.
Posted by LOUP | November 10, 2004 9:07 AM
Definitely E (Although if you can't fit it all in, I vote with LOUP...spoil yourself!)

E, but if I had to choose one for you, it'd be the massage. Nothing's as wonderful as a good massage. Words to live by, I say!
Posted by Kristi | November 10, 2004 9:17 AM
E, but please do make sure you wear the bling during the massage. Just because.
Also, change shoe to fur* and you're good to go. Nothing dresses up bling like an expensive coat. :D
*Faux fur of course.

All of the above, duh. Although, I'd prioritize them in this order:
B, A, D, C

c&d sounds like a nightmare for me. But then I'm not a clothes/shopping person. I'd go for a&b

E
FOR SURE E.

all of the above :) maybe i should follow your example (next weekend begins the Week of Laura).

I like to use "all of the above" as my personal mantra and life philosophy. After all, life is short!
Posted by MetroDad | November 10, 2004 9:56 AM
Why, all of the above, of course! Don't forget a scandalously long lunch in there somewhere!
Posted by donna | November 10, 2004 9:58 AM
Hmm... let's see.... F --- yes, that's it F... Oh wait -- there is no F -- I've done enough voting this month -- and it didn't help -- So -- I'd say anything but B -- yeah, that's it... NO B....

I think the manicure, pedicure and massage is perfect! I'm sooo jealous...except I have a 4 day weekend this weekend....I'll be thinking of you

Uh - do we have the same birthday?!?!?! I am the 13th!
I say, OF COURSE, ALL OF THE ABOVE!!!!
Happy Birthday!
Posted by Elizabeth | November 10, 2004 10:23 AM
F. All of the Above plus some french fries and cake!
Posted by bmh | November 10, 2004 10:29 AM
Yeah I gotta go with bmh.
But also add some ice cream, some Midori sours and a peanut butter cup.
Posted by Michele | November 10, 2004 10:36 AM
I'd have to say E. But I'm jealous. So pictures are required so we can all live vicariously through your birthday fun!
Posted by Beth | November 10, 2004 11:22 AM
Could there be any choice but E?
Posted by Wendy | November 10, 2004 11:49 AM
E of course! And sleeping in.
Posted by Jazzy | November 10, 2004 11:55 AM
E, no contest!
And, an early Happy Birthday to you...
Posted by Sabine | November 10, 2004 12:06 PM
E with either a wicked ice-cream sundae or box of fine belgian chocolate truffles.
Posted by Judith | November 10, 2004 1:34 PM
E
DEFINTELY E!
:)

E with pictures. Yup yup. My birthday's on the 25th, a Thursday this year. I'm not quite sure what to do with myself. I'll be 21.

E E E E E E E E E E
Oh, and did I say E?
Posted by doulazanie | November 10, 2004 2:54 PM
I would say e....start with b then do a after which you can eat all the french fries you want (it being your birthday and all) so you will have plenty of strength for c and end it all with d (that way you can try on the new shoes from c with the tops from d just to be sure they work with the bling)...aren't you glad you have me around?
Posted by Casey | November 10, 2004 3:02 PM
Oh, definitely all of the above. And don't forget to try out the new bling in different lighting situations. I forgot to take my engagement ring off the other night before walking the dog, and I noticed that it catches all sorts of light when I'm outside in the dark.
P.S. Nordstrom is having a big sale right now, and they have great shoes.

you don't need us to help you make the decision.. you know you want to do E as much as the rest of us want you to! hehe
Posted by Manda | November 10, 2004 4:24 PM
All of the above, starting with my personal favorite, "sleeping in"
Posted by cassie-b | November 10, 2004 4:39 PM
I say, totally, without a doubt, option E. Absolutely.
Posted by Jade | November 10, 2004 7:30 PM
I say E... but if thats not do-able then how about A & B.
Posted by Mary Jo | November 10, 2004 7:39 PM
I say F: all of the above with pictures of d so we can see the bling.
Posted by Amy | November 10, 2004 7:41 PM
I'd have to say E, only with two alterations, firstly make sure you have team of admiring friends when trying on bling with different tops (for maximum gloating effect) and also wrap bling around ankle for pedicure to create a bling glow teamed with devil-may-care bling attitude for unsuspecting pedicure people.
Posted by aussiemama | November 10, 2004 9:35 PM
No contest. e) all of the above.
Because you will not be satisifed unless you do all of those things.
Happy 30th!! You don't look a day over 20. And I'm not just saying that. I cannot believe you're 30!
Posted by DeAnn | November 11, 2004 6:34 AM
E of course. And handbag shopping. We all know that you need more of those.
Posted by Belgian waffle | November 11, 2004 7:24 AM
Yes, I agree with the majority and say 'E'. Definitely 'E'. And I also agree that you should document the weekend with pictures.
Enjoying your site immensely!
Posted by Chris | November 11, 2004 10:31 AM
E, of course. And you must wear the bling while engaging in the other options as well.
