Back to the baby stuff!
Here are the booties that Cassie-b sent:
And here are the booties that Chris's grandmother sent:
Personally, I'm hoping for a baby that fits into Grandma's booties and has to grow a bit for Cassie-b's.
(I'm a little nervous about the part where this kid comes out of me.)

Just remember that epidurals are your friend. You'll do fine.

Yay for booties! And new, good things coming into this world.
Big hugs,

Beth, here's the good news. There is a reason for nine months gestation. By the time your due date rolls around, you want that kid out so bad, that labor is a relief and you are ready to perform surgery with a fork just to get.it.out. At this point, labor is scary because you aren't totally sick of being pregnant yet :)

Listen to HG. I was willing to do anything to get the kid out by the time I went into labor. And remember, epiduals are your friend, the anesthiologist is a God/Goddess.

Nice bootie, Beth.
And don't worry about the kid coming out. You'll be so busy calling Chris horrible names that you won't notice the pain. ;)

By the time the kid is ready to come out, you will be MORE than ready to suffer ANYTHING to just GET THAT BABY OUT!
Mother Nature. It's great.
Those booties are so cute! Awww...

LOL :)
Very cute booties!

I have to agree with everyone who said things about wanting the baby out of you. Pregnancy is 40 weeks (give or take a few) but labor is a day. You'll be fine - I'm sure all the yoga you do will certainly help.
PS - Cute booties!

i agree with what everyone else said.

labor, get the frickin' kid out! epidurals are wonderful, so is nubain (i slept through most of my labor).
and i've been meaning to tell you this... the most important thing to do while waiting for said child to pop out - kegels. do your kegel exercises. trust me.

By the time you give birth, you REALLY want to give birth, and everything else is secondary LOL! And remember this word...epidural!!!

Adorable :-) I love homemade things, they just have that extra special feel to them.

One word...EPIDURAL! That, and HG is absolutely right. By the end of nine months, you are ready to get that baby out!
Posted by Nicole | February 5, 2005 11:45 PM
My son was 10lb 11 1/2 oz. If I can do it, you can do it :)

LOL! Honestly, I had the easiest birth in the world, couldn't believe it when they told me my daughter was 10lb 10oz!
But believe this... forget the bootie size, Head Circumference counts for a lot.

I read that post as "Yay for Boobies" and I thought "What on earth does Bloodhound Gang have to do with anything?"
I'm a dork. Oh and I thought I'd write that rather than tell you labor will be fun and games.

I think this is the one and only time I've actually enjoyed a reference to this song.:)

*melts* Those are absolutely PRECIOUS! Aww. =)

The booties are precious! I always wished I could knit like that. I tried once and ended up with a trapazoidial lookin' pot holder. I've always been a little screwed up. LOL

You can, you can do it very well.
You're the best in the world, I can tell.
Shake shake shake, shake shake shake,
Shake your booty! Shake your booty!
(Sorry, after seeing your post title, I got caught up in the song. Cute booties for the baby though!)

Hand to God the giving birth bit was the best part for me... all 4 times. Your body just takes over. Don't worry about it. Oh and I never had an epidural and I would still do it another 4 or 5 times if the adorable little bundles didn't turn in to 6 year olds!!
