Dear Internet,
Thank you for your kind words about our Callie. As many of you pointed out, there is really nothing to say, but thank you for saying it anyway. We're heartbroken, even Pixel who has been lying despondent on the rug since yesterday morning, but hearing from all of you has helped.
Callie purred anytime you touched her or said her name or just looked at her, really, and I suppose that none of us can ask for more than a long, happy life and a very fast, peaceful death.
Big smooches and stuff,
Beth

My kitty of 16 yrs.died 6 months ago. He was living with my mom in DC until we could buy a house. I know exactly how you're feeling. Those little furballs really put dents in our hearts.

Beth, Chris, Mia, and Pixel;
I'm so sorry to hear about Callie. I know how hard it is when a furry member of the family passes on, having dealt with it myself a few times in the past year.
There are warm thoughts and fuzzy hugs coming from PA to comfort each of you.

A nice, long, comfortable life is all we humans OR furry ones could hope for. I'm sure you provided all the love she could possibly get.
Sorry. :(

I didn't see this until today, I am so sorry for your loss. My family lost our cat recently of 15 years, so I can relate. Its like losing a family member. Hugs to all of you and again, I am sorry.

I told Chris a few minutes ago that Squeaky, who moved with us from San Francisco, lived to 16 and watched our boys grow up. There have been many kitties before and since and it's always so hard to lose a family member.
Hugs to all.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Check out this link-maybe you can have a pendant made of Callie in her youthful days.

I'm sooooo sorry about Callie. I had to put my cat to sleep 2 weeks ago & it smashed my heart into bits. Sending good thoughts your way.
