My kid is so awesome. She has been asleep for two hours, and I still can't stop giggling about how she was tonight.
Why didn't you people tell me about this? About how your kid's laugh makes everything right in the world?
Oh that's right, you did. I just didn't believe you.

awwwwwww. this post made me feel all warm and fuzzy. I believe it--most kids laughing make me feel as if all is right in the world and I am not exactly maternal. lol

Hearing the little laugh is right up there with the cheerful little voice saying "mama." Awww, how can our hearts melt over something so simple?

I'm telling you, we need to capture that sound somehow in a...bottle? and sell it. we'd be rich! The newest cure for depression...

A child's laugh is so inspiring to the rest of us cynical adults because kids aren't afraid to laugh from their bellies, to laugh from their souls, to laugh as if they don't have a care in the world. It's pure happiness, pure joy, pure in every way.
And I wish I could learn from watching our kids laugh. I wish I could transport myself to that place.

Rylan has just learned how to laugh in the last week. I can't walk away from it - every chore stays undone because I just want to sit and listen to him laugh!

Those infectious giggles really do cancel out a bad night of teething, don't they? (My little guy is cutting two-year-molars and he's cranky too.)
If you haven't heard the Dixie Chicks' new CD, there's a song on it that you'd love... it's called "Lullaby", they wrote it for their kids. It goes like this:
They didn't have you where I come from
Didn't know that the best was yet to come
Life began when I saw your face
And I hear your laugh, like a serenade

I love the summertime when I can listen to the children laughing on the beach below my house. That laughter is heaven on earth!

The sound of their laughter and the sound of them breathing in the still of the night. Even though two of them are 6 feet tall and can palm my head in their hands, I still get emotional when I hear either of those things.

The Dixie Chicks song that Jenn mentioned, "Lullaby", I have already put together a wonderful photostory montage together with pics of our two awesome sons...The song is perfect for it.

I firmly believe baby belly laughs are the secret to world peace, utter happiness and utopia. More people just need to stop and listen to that wonderful sound.

twice this weekend I had Bennett laughing so hard he was squealing with joy. Just remembering it makes my insides go all mushy. I wish I could go over to daycare right this second and do it some more. It's the best!

Yep, one little laugh, one sticky kiss, or one big hug and a whole day of frustration just goes *poof*.

And it's a good thing that it works out like this. I mean, without the good moments we might all go insane.

Belly laughs are my favorite sound in the world. No matter what I'm doing, when I hear a child laugh whole-heartedly I can't help but stop and smile.

I know....I KNOW! :) Joey was making this face today that was TOO. MUCH!!! And, the funniest part was she was cracking herself up! She could hardly do the face without cracking up. She was hysterical (hysterical laughing and hysterical to watch!!). Baby laughter is, indeed, one of the best things in life! :)
