Frenzy

Today we had the home inspector, the exterminator for the fucking fuckwad ants, the appraiser, our realtor, and finally got our "Under Contract" sign. Mia and I went out for breakfast, to Target, the bank, the mall play area, the grocery store, and story time at the library. Tomorrow we have two movers coming to give estimates and I have to call to switch all of the utilities and find someone to replace the missing shingles on the roof because our buyers seem to want the roof to actually have shingles, which I think is a bit unreasonable but I have decided to humor them.

On Friday, Mia has an outing with my parents and I am going to plan the menu for her birthday party, buy the food, buy decorations, buy and wrap her birthday gifts, clean the house and start packing.

Next week just gets worse. Now is the time for you to reassure me that this will all be worth it. Also, now that I am firmly on the road to having only one mortgage, and even for the space of two weeks or so having no mortgage, I promised Isabel that I would send you all over to her to focus all your good internet vibing on getting her new house built so that she can move out of her one bedroom apartment and get her summer clothes back. Go on now, tell her I sent you.

It'll be worth it.

It's always darkest before the dawn.

It takes both sunshine and rain to make a rainbow.

Even perfect people buy pencils with erasers.

(and a million other cliches)!

Good luck Beth! You are a tremendous woman and I know you can pull all of this together! It will all be just peachy keen!!

Deep breaths. Just put one foot in front of the other, continue taking deep breaths and before you know it, it will all be over. You'll have done it and be amazed it went so fast.

In a few short months, this will all be but a pleasant and vague memory. That is if you are drinking the proper amounts! Good luck with the move.

Booze helps. As a woman who just finished packing up and moving a family of five, all by herself and moved them two states away... you can do it. The final week will be the hardest part, but you have family and friends who love you and will support you...TAKE ADVANTAGE of them! Send Mia to Grandma's house as much as you can. Unpacking can take all long as you need it to! You'll be fine. xoxoxox

Yeah! Fuck those fuckwad ants!

(I just wanted to say fuckwad too.)

The next month is going to suck eggs, but I PROMISE it will all be worth it. Just try to get through each day as it comes. And I love the word fuckwad.

It will totally be worth it! Moving sucks, but once you get through it, you get to look around your new place and feel content.

I can hardly wait to see pictures of the new place. I bet it is so pretty!

I'm sure it's going to be worth it. Just think about how nice it'll be once you're settled in at the new house.

It will all be worth it. I promise.

(And THANKS for the internet vibes. We need all the help we can get on finishing this house. My poor husband is working like mad!)
