So the Fish Said...
Whoever you are, now I place my hand upon you, that you be my poem, I whisper with my lips close to your ear.

Meet the Fish
I want to get a pet duck and keep it in the bathtub.
I am addicted to chap stick and altoids. I am freakishly flexible.

You forgot producing beautiful children and taking very good care of your ever-growing family! :-)

Awww! He doesn't look very happy in the second photo.
Owen: The bright side is Mia didn't put a dress on you.
Posted by Maria | February 27, 2008 8:24 AM
You have a very beautiful family. Congratulations on Owen's birth.
Posted by Kim | February 27, 2008 8:28 AM
Owen looks less than thrilled about the pink hat!
Reminds me of the way I used to torture my younger brother by putting my dresses on him and barettes in his hair. Wonder if my mom still has those pics?
Posted by Lisa | February 27, 2008 8:38 AM
Yay! Owen Wednesdays!!
My guess is that in about six months he'll be working that pink hat like a pro!
Posted by Susan | February 27, 2008 8:55 AM
You have many skillz, lactating is just one!!! The picture 3rd from the top just kills me of Owen's face. Its like he is taking a major dump or he just really sick of the pink hat already! LOL! Very cute! Mia seems to still be enjoying the little brother.
Posted by linda | February 27, 2008 8:59 AM
Lactating rulez! ;)
Posted by Leah | February 27, 2008 9:03 AM
I used to dress my little brother in my dresses too...
Posted by suze | February 27, 2008 9:10 AM
Wow... tortured already... guess he has to be toughened up somehow.
He does not look like a happy kid.
WTG on being Super Lactator!

Take your skills where you can get them!
Sorry Owen, that is probably just the first dress up of many.
Posted by diane | February 27, 2008 9:20 AM
Lactating is your super power!
Also, Owen seems none too pleased with the hat.
Posted by Sparkle Pants | February 27, 2008 9:31 AM
His face ... in that second picture ... hee. Priceless.
Posted by Fraulein N | February 27, 2008 9:46 AM
Adorable! He'll grow up to be sensitive and unafraid to embrace his feminine side.
Posted by Shelly | February 27, 2008 9:48 AM
Hooray for Owen Wednesdays!!!
And hooray for a good eater and sleeper! Big babies tend to be good sleepers. Nine more ounces and he'll be up to my birth weight!
Posted by Sandy | February 27, 2008 10:26 AM
He looks completely dismayed in that second photo; it's too funny.
Posted by claire | February 27, 2008 10:52 AM
He doesn't seem too pleased. At least you know he'll never be a cross-dresser :) Not that there's anything worng with that.
Posted by Mom On The Run | February 27, 2008 10:54 AM
oh yes...it'll never get better for him. wait until he's wearing the princess dresses ;)
Posted by ali | February 27, 2008 11:09 AM
Owen is already making dad's funny faces. How cute is that! :)
Posted by oakley | February 27, 2008 11:10 AM
Ha. He's not lovin' it. Sorry bud, sisters are like that. :) They're also a lot of fun, and pretty sweet and kind.
Oh and HEY! You have nice teeth and your smile is even better when you show them!
Posted by Brad | February 27, 2008 11:28 AM
So cute! (But I just don't think pink is his color!)
Posted by RC | February 27, 2008 11:41 AM
You know, sounds like your dairy factory is a really good one. Perhaps the baby factory sent you such a bruiser because he knew that Mia would be his constant playmate! LOL
Hey Beth, you look super!
Posted by Maribeth | February 27, 2008 11:48 AM
Good growing Owen! Looks like he'll be a tolerant little brother!
My Owen gained 2 pounds in his first 2 weeks of life! That prompted my pediatrician to ask if I was producing buttermilk!
Love the cheeks, so cute!
Posted by Katie | February 27, 2008 12:29 PM
Oh, that little pouty face is adorable!
Posted by jen | February 27, 2008 12:37 PM
He looks thrilled!
And you're looking great, too.
Posted by Dianna | February 27, 2008 1:16 PM
Oh, that hat is hilarious! Eli has encountered many such torture sessions from HIS big sis, but I'm sure he'll exact revenge later, so I don't sweat it.
Also: we share the same life skill. My son was gaining weight at exactly that rate the first four months or so. He has FINALLY begun to slow down a bit, thank heavens, or I'd be toting around the World's Largest Six Month Old by now. Don't you love all the leg rolls, though?
Posted by Sarah | February 27, 2008 1:17 PM
He looks thrilled. :)

Hi Beth! It's been forever since I commented here, so if you've forgotten who I am, ask The Cactus. Owen is SO adorable. I wanted to tell you that that's my little brother's name, so I'm going to personally tell everyone I know that he's named after my brother. Because that is how much I am in love with your family.
And congratulations. I may be shit with commenting, but I have been kept up to date by Sparkle Pants, and I am so happy for you guys. And impressed by Mia. I don't remember if I was that nice to my own Owen when he was born. He's almost exactly two years younger than I am. And then there was an accident three years later, so be prepared for that. And name it Sionnan. :)

Heh, I hear ya about the one real skill in life is lactating... that is so me too!!!
Posted by Christina | February 27, 2008 4:22 PM
Dear Beth,
University Politico has wonky internets, so she asked me to ask you to delete her redundant comment.
xoxo,

Owen Wednesday! Love it!
The face is totally Do.Not.Want!
Posted by Michelle | February 27, 2008 4:26 PM
that apparently has always been my best skill as well.
also, at least he will grow up comfortable with his feminine side ;)
Posted by sweethomealagirl | February 27, 2008 4:34 PM
Typical boy! You can tell Owen doesn't care for the pink cowgirl hat!
Posted by coolchick | February 27, 2008 7:54 PM
Seems by his face he can already tell the hat is pink. :) What a cute big sister Mia is!
Posted by Dana | February 27, 2008 9:21 PM
His face is precious in the middle photos. You and Chris sure produce cute kids. :)
Posted by Allison | February 28, 2008 12:46 AM
He does NOT look happy...
Is Mia going to be the kind of big sister who dresses up her brother like he's her doll? Look out, Owen!
Posted by Allison | February 28, 2008 1:45 AM
Haha poor Owen! ;-) He looks super cute though. And how beautiful and glowy do you look?! Especially in that first pic.
