At the ripe old age of three, Mia has taken a firm stance on the subject of gay marriage. She's all for it. For the past few days, Cinderella and Snow White have been dancing, falling in love, getting married (which Mia believes is accomplished by kissing), and living happily ever after. This is despite the presence of an Aladdin doll who is, one would assume, ready and willing to pitch in.
Indeed, all is happy in Princess-ville unless I put Cinderella's shoes on Snow White and vice versa. Apparently they agreed to love, honor, and cherish, but not to communal footwear.
Do you think I could find a "Civil Marriage is a Civil Right" t-shirt in a 3T?

You have to admire a women (babygirl) who knows her own mind! :) That's just to cute. I found your site thru your comment on tifRN's site. You have a beautiful family.

The bond of matrimony only goes so far. I won't share my shoes with Paul, either, not even my big comfy dry snowboots he can squeeze his feet into if he wears thin socks and doesn't mind the snugness.

Oh yes, she is totally right: Communal footwear is totally out!

Ha, I agree, I don't share shoes with my spouse either. My girls do this too. They also make their babies decide to change genders. Like they say "She is Allison, but now she wants to be Michael". My kids make me laugh more than anyone else ;)

Hey now, sharing shoes is crossing the line.

I am cracking up because today my 2 1/2 year old decided that her Barbie was Mommy Darbie and her Baby Alice doll was Daddy Darbie and the two spent a lot of time holding hands.

That would have been the -perfect- birthday present! Maybe she could wear this as a dress?

Now, see, I always thought that expanding my footwear selection would be one of the major benefits of lesbianism. Bummer.
I guess I have to focus on the permanent-end-to-the-toilet-seat-issue bonus, instead.

It must be something about the age. My 3 year old is all about cross dressing. She doesn't understand why we can't put her little brother in a dress. I find them playing in her room while she covers him in princess dresses and tiaras... At least he doesn't seem to mind so far...

Sophie keeps saying: "Remember when I was big and we got married?" So I asked her: "what happens when you get married?" She said: "you put on a pretty dress and dance, dance, dance."

I always thought I'd want to fall in love with a woman my size. Then my wardrobe would double. Isn't that part of the benefit? And good for you, my friend! Encouraging that kind of play will get the world somewhere, I do believe.
