What I Learned from the Internet: Episode 6
Today the internet broke my heart. Alex did it, but she didn't meant to, she thought it would be a good thing.
I hate to even link this, it is that bad.
Oh, fine. Here.
I hate the beard. I'm just not a fan of facial hair on anyone other than young men, and while Clive is a great many exceptional things, he is not a young man. He looks like, I don't know, he should be bringing me an umbrella drink beside some pool somewhere. Which, wait a minute, that would work for me. I mean, as long as he shaved.
I dunno, you guys, I think this might have ruined it for me.
Posted by Beth at September 1, 2006 04:12 PMBut the eyes they are still pretty. So very pretty.
Posted by: Karen at September 1, 2006 04:27 PMI'm sure once he knows how important it is to you, he'll shave it right off. I mean, he won't want to go the way of Jude Law, right?
Posted by: Julie at September 1, 2006 04:41 PMWell, can I have him then? I love the beard.
Posted by: jen at September 1, 2006 04:46 PMOk - that picture is hot. My husband has some "sexy cocktail hour stuble" going on every day and I love it. Very hot. Sorry your heart was broken.
:(
Ok.. it took me about 5 mins to see what you were talking about. I couldn't get past the eyes. Yummy!
Posted by: Karen at September 1, 2006 05:04 PMI don't know, I kind of like it. I think he pulls it off. I must just love him more than you do.
Posted by: donna at September 1, 2006 05:21 PMThat was just mean. I won't be able to wipe that image out of my mind. Now I have to go rent Croupier and get the good Clive back. Or else put hot pokers in my eyes.
Posted by: Lisa V at September 1, 2006 05:40 PMThat's fine.
He's mine now!!!
AND NO TAKESIE BACKSIES!
Oh dear. Oh my. Please accept my heartfelt apologies. Weren't you considering dumping him anyway? Wasn't there someone else lurking in the background?
Posted by: Alex at September 1, 2006 07:16 PMReally? I love the beard. But I am a sucker for a man in a goatee. It's one of the things that attracted me to my husband.
So, for me, Clive Owens just keeps getting better and better. I love a mature-looking man. Other women can keep the boy-toys.
Posted by: Robbin at September 1, 2006 07:18 PMSo is it time to find you another Pretend Celebrity Boyfriend?
Posted by: Beth in StL at September 1, 2006 08:28 PMI must disagree. The beard--on him--looks yummy.
Posted by: wordgirl at September 1, 2006 09:16 PMI agree: I don't even want to make out with him now. Well, not MUCH.
Posted by: Kristen at September 1, 2006 10:00 PMWell, as I too recently had my PCB ruined for me, I can empathize.
Posted by: Heather at September 2, 2006 07:10 AMHere's what I'm learning:
So long as you keep giving this tour, I will be forced to read new blogs every day and do nothing else.
This does not bode well for the well-being of my children, nor for the general health of my husband.
too bad for them!
Posted by: s@bd at September 2, 2006 08:06 AMI was never a huge Clive fan to begin with, just didn't see the hotness... but now - MY GOD! That picture. YUM! I think I got scalded.
Posted by: MoMMY at September 2, 2006 09:22 AMOh, how quickly they turn. I did think he should extend the moustache a wee bit to make twirlable waxed tips giving him a more comeplete Dick Dastardly look. I guess he'd need a black stovepipe tophat and black cape then, too.
Posted by: Rick at September 2, 2006 09:51 AMClive? Doesn't do much for me - even less with the facial hair. I'm not a big fan of it either - which is funny since my bf has a goatee.
I'd offer you one of my celebrity crushes but I don't share well. Plus, then you'd have to endure my bf wishing the monkey scratch of death on said crushes.
hm. while i normally LOVE beards, this one doesn't do it for me.. i think it's too goatee-ish for my liking.
i like the big full scruffy beards haha
Posted by: kate at September 2, 2006 11:39 AMNothing could ruin Clive for me....Nothing. Somebody stupid made him do it....He'll shave it off. H-h-h-hottttt....
I just rented the movie *Inside Man*. You'll fall in love with him again if you go rent that movie....Awesome movie, too....
